We got a text message on Thursday, March 16th, 2023, at 11:53 p.m. (PST) on our emergency line (503-877-5263). Mel Fel, the requester had the car stuck near McGuire Reservoir.
Since the request came late at night, we contacted Mel but decided to push the request to volunteers early in the morning. We verified the location, and by 6:26 a.m., we submitted the request to local volunteers.
The request read: “Subaru Outback. Yamhill County by McGuire Reservoir. Stuck in snow. I need a ride to the car. I’m in Newberg now. / I’m not with the vehicle“
By 7:04 a.m., Seth Scholbrock took over the recovery. Contact Mel and coordinate a meeting location. By 10:40 a.m., We received word from Mel, Seth was able to recover the vehicle.
Thanks Seth for helping; great job!
